Cherie Barber has her Finger on the Pulse with the Vintage Design Trend

From imagination to reality
If you know Cherie, you know she LOVES all things vintage,
especially the 50’s era so this vintage renovation was a lot of fun for her. In 2022, the vintage design trend is back in a big way and will only continue to pick up steam – think bold colours, mixed materials, rattan and velvet furniture and lots of curves!
the Home Owners' Dream Kitchen
Cherie’s choice of finishes for Lisa and Jason’s kitchen tie in perfectly with the 50’s style and with resale purposes in mind, she still managed to keep the kitchen looking fresh and current.
Combining a strong, on trend door colour with warm timber and lighter coloured stone benchtops, the transformed kitchen was then styled with vibrant pops of colour found in the accessories and appliances. Not only do these colourful additions enhance the desired 50’s retro vibe, they’re also easily removed if the owners think of selling in the future and want to tone down the space for potential buyers. We think Cherie did an amazing job bringing this previously drab kitchen to life!

RETRO
MOOD BOARD
Bringing the past into the present, we see a mix of materials and textures like timber, stone, metal and colourful plastics to create a bright and colourful mid-century modern atmosphere. An eclectic mix of old styles and new forms, the pops of colour, retro accessories, soft curves and plant life all inject vibrancy and a sense of fun!
