Mood Board Natural Kitchen

What are the kitchen colour trends you shouldn’t miss?

Kitchens Inspired by Natural Tones

Green KITCHENS

Look to your garden and native plants for inspiration. Deep forest green is rich and grounding while mint green is fresh and energising. Kitchen cabinet doors in muted greens such as sage and eucalyptus provide a soft base to build on and can be styled with bolder colours.

SAND

Although white is still a popular choice for a crisp finish and provides a super easy base to style, many are now opting for warmer shades of white and sandy undertones which is in line with the colours found in nature. Remember warmth is key when thinking of kitchen colour trends in 2023.

BLUE KITCHENS

All shades of blue are soothing and calming which is an excellent choice for a busy kitchen environment. Sky blue, hamptons blue, duck egg blue and navy blue will create an impact, so choose softer styling elements.

MUSHROOM

and various shades of grey are another neutral alternative to white that has exploded in popularity. The practically endless shades of grey available bring a sense of modernity to all parts of the home.  From wall paint, to flooring, to interior styling, mushroom is a muted tone that will complement many other parts of the home and can be styled with décor that is soft but deep and rich in hue.

Gone are the days of cold and sterile spaces. In today’s era of eco-conscious living, organic materials are taking pride of place. Stone benchtops and splashbacks are highly sought after, not only for their superior quality, but also for their health benefits as they do not require chemicals when cleaning.

A strong focus on family and healthy relationships is being reflected in interior design through a warmer colour palette and cosy layering.  Timber look kitchen doors create the perfect balance of  warmth and texture.

Multi-material Kitchens

Two-toned kitchens have surged in popularity. Again, timber doors are a smart choice when combined with white or a trending colour above.

Mixing tones and materials creates visual interest, and kitchen trends in 2023 predict the combination of multiple, naturally-sourced materials such as stone, wood, metals and ceramics.

Toned-down Kitchen handles & hardware

Muted finishes in tapware and kitchen handles such as copper, brushed brass and pewter create a toned-down effect that’s closer to nature.
