Some of the essential features of this modern kitchen include:
- Neutral Colour – Hamptons is all about neutral colour palettes. The design balances white kitchen cabinets and stone benchtop resurfacing, with a light grey tile splashback and on trend navy blue accents in the kitchen appliances. Blue and grey tones are increasingly popular colour accents in our contemporary kitchen designs.
- Natural Materials – timber kitchen floors and marble or granite stone benchtops
- Natural Lighting – natural light is able to flood into this kitchen to create a bright, airy feel thanks to the large overhead kitchen skylight and French provincial doors.
DESIGN FEATURES OF OUR HAMPTONS KITCHEN
KITCHEN CABINETS – Shaker doors are a popular choice because their clean style and simple lines offer a sense of timelessness. Brushed metal kitchen handles and knobs add depth and character. As with most Hamptons style kitchens we used classic white cabinets, but you could also choose an alternative, such as light blue or grey for some of the cabinets for contrast.
The benefit of our polyurethane doors is that they can be painted in almost any colour you can imagine.
FLOORING – Choosing your floor is a big decision in any kitchen renovation and, although greywash timber or vinyl plank is popular for beachside homes, we love this darker wood plank floors in this kitchen. They offer a rich depth of colour and a beautiful contrast to the white cabinetry and white benchtops. We recommend Mint Floors for a professional flooring finish.
PENDANT LIGHTING
The addition of metal industrial style pendant lights above the kitchen benchtop add sophistication and ambience to this kitchen. Good lighting is essential!
TAPWARE AND SINK
A modern stainless steel sink, offset with silver and porcelain Hamptons style lever tapware are a key element to this kitchen design. We love these taps and sink!
APPLIANCES
These kitchen appliances add contrast! The bold navy blue oven and overhead exhaust fan are stylishly matched with the kettle and toaster for individuality.
