One of the most common questions we are asked is ‘can you resurface laminate benchtops?’ The answer is yes, most definitely! Most types of benchtops, including laminate, wood, stone or tile can be overlaid with stone. The existing surface should be flat, level and in reasonable condition.
Stone benchtop resurfacing is the number 1 method of updating the look of your outdated kitchen benchtop.
Yes! The benefit of stone resurfacing is that we can seamlessly install a square-edged stone surface over an outdated curved or round-edged benchtop. Furthermore, benchtop overlay can be used to create a waterfall edge effect for a stunning modern look.

Marble gives a luxury kitchen look with a sense of sophistication and elegance.
Traditional marble is softer than granite, so more prone to scratching, and is too expensive for most families with a limited kitchen renovation budget.
However, marble kitchens have become more popular in the past few years, and we believe the trend for marble benchtops will continue to grow for many years to come. This is largely due to improvements in technology, in particular engineered marble overlay, which is more durable and cost-effective than traditional marble.

Absolutely! Granite Transformations overlay is not limited to your benchtop, it can also be laid directly over your kitchen splashback, eliminating the need to remove and redo tiling, creating a smooth and easy-to-clean splashback surface. It can also be used on walls and floors, laundry, home office, outdoor BBQ areas and bathroom vanities.
The kitchen splashback, or backsplash, is the area or wall between the kitchen benchtop and the upper kitchen cabinets. This area is prone to splashing from cooking, especially the area behind the cooktop or sink. Today’s kitchen splashbacks are often an aesthetic feature of a kitchen renovation.
There are many different types of kitchen splashback. Some popular splashback options include tiles, hardened glass, timber or stainless steel. However, a very popular option is to match the backsplash with the benchtop, which can easily be achieved with stone overlay. Given the overlay is just 7mm in thickness it can just as easily be installed directly over any existing splashback for a mess-free, quick and easy alternative. Not only does it create a modern look kitchen, but it is also very easy to clean and maintain.
Granite Transformations stone surfaces are not limited to benchtop resurfacing, but are commonly used for kitchen splashbacks. Popular options include white stone overlay or marble overlay for a more luxurious kitchen.
A Granite Transformations benchtop will last for many years with proper care and maintenance. We stand by the quality of our products by offering a 10 year warranty on or stone and marble surfaces.
