Granite Transformations Sydney South began in 2000 as a family business specialising in resurfacing kitchen benchtops. Although we have grown since then, some things have not changed. Our focus on high quality workmanship and customer service is what sets us apart from other home makeover businesses.

THE FAMILY
When we first started in 2000 we were a two-generation family business with parents, Tony and Connie Alifano and their three daughters, Grace, Carmel and Anne-Marie. The family business acumen, customer service focus and natural flair for colour and style was complimented by our other founding director (and Grace’s husband), German Anchique. German is a qualified industrial designer and visionary with many years experience in the construction industry. Although Tony and Connie have since retired, and Carmel has moved interstate to pursue a food business, the rest of the family remain.
Granite Transformations Sydney South is now owned and operated by German and Grace, with sister Anne-Marie working in the showroom as our Senior Sales Consultant. Anne-Marie’s partner, Thomas, has also been an invaluable member of the team for several years and is a favourite with our customers.
OUR VALUES
One of the main reasons we originally chose the Granite Transformations brand was because German recognised the need for an environmentally-friendly approach to home makeovers. He saw a lot of material waste when renovating homes and saw the ‘makeover’ approach as a superior solution for a quicker, cleaner and more economical result. When we started out, Granite Transformations was the only resurfacing solution on the market and, being of superior quality and an environmentally friendly product, it was aligned with our values. We purchased one of the first Australian franchises and now service a large area of Southern Sydney.
Customers like the choices we offer because they are not forced to throw away perfectly usable cabinets unless it is necessary. If a kitchen or laundry is in good enough condition, we can achieve a makeover using most of the existing parts. This saves time, money, mess and the environment while still giving the kitchen a brand new look and feel. Sometimes the old cabinetry cannot be salvaged and, if this is the case, we are able to design and install a brand new kitchen. For a kitchen makeover we can install a stone bench top in as little as one day and complete a kitchen makeover in five days.
THE EARLY DAYS
There was no showroom when we purchased the business, so we started out by building a small showroom as part of our factory in Liverpool and hired our first installer. It didn’t take long for the business to outgrow our original premises and we now have an award winning showroom, conveniently located on Taren Point Road in Taren Point. Our factory is located at a different site and all our products are cut and constructed in Sydney to meet Australian Standards.
OUR TEAM
Today we have a team of sixteen staff members who collaborate with you to create beautiful rooms that match your aesthetic, lifestyle and budget. Some of our staff have been with us for more than 15 years and feel like part of the family. Our team of sales reps, admin staff, showroom staff, factory staff, check measurers, installers, plumbers, electricians and tilers all share the same work ethic of integrity and quality. We aim to complete our jobs on time and with minimal disturbance to your home. Punctual and tidy, our work is guaranteed and we also have a great after-sales service.
Our business is special firstly, because of the great team of people we have and secondly, in the way we look after our customers from the first call to when the job is complete and beyond.
